Carl joined BSV in 1983, and was a pillar of our Prince George branch for many years before heading up the opening of our Colonial Heights location. Carl specializes in construction and mortgage loans, and can be credited with assisting hundreds of customers build their dream homes over the past thirty years.
Carl is a dedicated Ruritan, having held numerous positions in his local club, as well as at the State and National level, including serving as National Treasurer. He has also been very active in the Homebuilders Association of Southside Virginia during his career.
Carl enjoys spending time on his farm in Pittsylvania County where he was born and raised, as well as in Nags Head.
Jim was raised on a Prince George County farm, and graduated from North Carolina State University in 1971. After spending time with both Virginia Farm Bureau and Colonial Farm Credit, he joined the BSV team in 1984.
Jim is currently serving as the Vice President of the Crater Development Company, a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to facilitate loan programs that will stimulate the growth and expansion of small businesses in the area by creating additional jobs, increasing the local tax base, and expanding business ownership opportunities.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys following ACC sports, piddling down on the farm , reading about history and traveling to historical sites.
Chris started his banking career with BSV in 1992 working as a part-time teller during summers and holidays until graduating from Lynchburg College in 1994. He has held many positions at several of our branches in his twenty years with the Bank.
For the last four years, Chris has been working as a Regional Manager and Commercial Loan Officer. He is a graduate of the School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia, the V.B.A. Leadership Institute, and the Commercial Lending Schools at East Carolina University.
He is active in the community as well, having served as Treasurer of the Old Hickory Volunteer Fire Department, Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committees at Concord United Methodist Church, and President of the Jarratt Recreation Association among others. Chris spends most of his free time playing or coaching softball, water skiing, and snow skiing.
