Dr. John A. Clay

Physician, Primary Health Group Appomattox - HCA

A Dinwiddie County native, Dr. John Clay has built his career around caring for the same community that raised him. A cum laude graduate of William & Mary with a biology degree, Clay went on to earn his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed his residency at VCU Chesterfield Family Practice, where he served as chief resident.

Deeply rooted in family, faith and service, he is an active member of Smyrna Baptist Church and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Clay and his wife are raising their children in Dinwiddie, where he continues to give back through compassionate care and strong community ties.

Matthew B. Gillette

Forester, Rock Springs Forestry

For Matthew Gillette, stewardship of the land is both a profession and a calling. A Virginia Tech graduate with a degree in forestry, Gillette plays a hands-on role in Rock Springs Forestry - from cruising timber and leading timber sales to overseeing planting crews, prescribed burns and sustainable forest management practices.

A respected voice in his field, he has served in leadership positions with the Association of Consulting Foresters at both the state and national levels, as well as with the Virginia Forestry Association and the North Carolina Board of Registration for Foresters.

Gillette and his wife are raising their two children in Courtland, where he stays involved as a leader with the Indiantown Hunt Club, Capron-Drewryville Athletic Association, Capron Ruritan Club and the Southampton Academy Board of Directors. His work reflects a commitment to the rural communities and natural resources that define Southside Virginia.

Morgan Ingram

Executive Director of Community Development, Dinwiddie County

Morgan Ingram has spent nearly 20 years helping shape Dinwiddie County's growth and vitality. Starting her career in Environmental Planning before transitioning to Economic Development, she now serves as executive director of Community Development - overseeing Economic Development, Planning and Zoning, Building Inspections and GIS.

She and her husband also operate Bullneck Farms, a beef cattle operation that keeps them closely connected to the agricultural roots that define the region. The Virginia Tech graduate earned her degree in agricultural and applied economics.

Ingram lends her leadership to organizations across Southside, serving on the boards of Brightpoint Community College, the Kiwanis Club of Dinwiddie and the Petersburg Home for Ladies. She is also an elder at Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church and an ex-officio member of the Southern Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce. She lives in Prince George with her husband and young child, committed to serving the place she calls home.

President, Smithfield Station | Managing Partner, Pack Brothers Hospitality, LLC

For more than two decades, Randy Pack has helped strengthen tourism, hospitality and economic vitality across Smithfield and beyond. After joining his family's business, Smithfield Station, in 2001, Pack guided a major expansion that doubled the hotel's size and revenue while adding a marina, retail space and conference facilities.

In 2018, he co-founded Pack Brothers Hospitality with his brother, Brian, launching The Surry Seafood Company and expanding a portfolio that now includes the Old Point Comfort Marina at Fort Monroe and multiple award-winning Suffolk restaurants. Their newest development - a restaurant, hotel and marina in Tappahannock - continues that momentum.

A Virginia Tech graduate and "Top 40 Under 40" honoree by Inside Business, Pack has served as finance chair of the Smithfield Town Council and chair of the Smithfield Planning Commission. He and his wife live in Smithfield with their three children, investing time and energy into the community they proudly call home.

Senior Manager of Business Application Support, Porex

With 25 years of experience in IT services, Ford Pugh brings both local insight and global perspective to his work. At Porex, he serves as senior manager of business application support and SOX compliance, helping ensure smooth, secure operations at the company's Colonial Heights site.

Beyond his professional role, Pugh is deeply involved in Prince George County. He was recently elected to a four-year term on the Board of Supervisors and volunteers as a member of the South Elementary PTAC and an assistant softball coach for Prince George Recreation. Additionally, he serves his community through the Prince George Masonic Lodge #115, where he is treasurer and district blood drive coordinator.

Pugh earned his associate degree from Richard Bland College and his bachelor's from Averett University. He and his wife are raising their three children on Cerny Farm in Prince George, where community ties run deep.

Community Manager, Rohoic Wood Apartments and Townhomes

A lifelong Dinwiddie County resident, Sarah Wilkins has spent 18 years managing her family's business, Rohoic Wood Apartments and Townhomes. A graduate of Old Dominion University, Wilkins brings a personal touch to property management - reflecting her belief that strong communities start with strong relationships.

She serves as vice chair of the Dinwiddie Education Foundation and sits on the advisory committee for the Virginia Apartment Management Association, helping strengthen both her local community and the housing industry. An avid reader and traveler, Wilkins now lives in Sutherland with her husband and son, continuing her family's legacy of service and local commitment.
